Dialectical Behavior Therapy, or DBT, is one of my favorite approaches to use in therapy, especially for people who feel overwhelmed by their emotions or stuck in patterns that are no longer working. It is a structured and skills-based therapy that helps you learn how to cope with distress, regulate emotions, and improve your relationships. DBT combines mindfulness with practical tools you can actually use in real life. I love it because it is not just about talking through things, it is about giving you the skills to manage your thoughts and emotions for the rest of your life.
